Marsden Bros? Who are they? Where are they? Find out here.

Marsden Bros
Once upon a time there were two brothers, Steve and Jason Marsden. They moved to Singapore in 1993 and started a dive company, and they called it Marsden Bros. And then Steve got married and moved to Switzerland, leaving Jason a brother short. But Marsden Bro sounds silly, so Marsden Bros it remains.

Jason Marsden, the brother
Jason learnt to dive in 1987, in the murky waters around Hong Kong. "The good thing about learning to dive in rubbish vis," he says, "like in Hong Kong or Singapore, is that afterwards you can dive anywhere." After completing a degree in Zoology (specialising in Marine Biology) in 1992, he went to Thailand with his brother Steve and they both trained as PADI Instructors. In 1993 they moved to Singapore and started Marsden Bros. Jason has been teaching diving full-time for ten years and teaches all the PADI courses up to Assistant Instructor.

"I like diving because you can relax and chill out," he says. "You don't have to talk to anyone when you're underwater." If you want to learn to dive in a relaxed, informal environment, give him a call.

Favourite place to dive: Sipadan, Malaysia
Favourite drink: Jack Daniels
