No more free guestbooks for me!
What have I learnt from using the free guestbooks provided by GuestWorld?
There is no such thing as a free lunch. True true, they're still
free BUT, they were down for EONS a few months ago. Rationalising
that since it was free, I waited patiently for them to sort through the
bumps and bring my guestbook back online. They did, after months
and months of patience on my part. During that time, anyone who tried
to sign or view my guestbook were informed curtly that they had clicked
on a wrong URL, making me seem downright dumb for getting my own URL wrong.
Never mind, never mind. But was I in for a greater shock when they
finally bought more hardware (loosely paraphrasing them). My previous
guestbook entries have been totally erased. All my hard work and
the trouble my guests took to provide feedback have gone down the drain!
So it's bye bye GuestWorld AND any other free guestbook providers.
You can use the feedback form to zap a mail to me instead. Sigh...the
perils of the online world...
