At  the same time, the club fosters fellowship among fellow Lions.  We, at the Lions Club of Singapore Somerset, believe in contributing  to society by carrying out fund-raising and service projects, and spending time and effort with the less fortunate, the elderly and the young.    With 9 new  members recruited last year, we are strongly poised for another year of meaningful service. I am proud to lead the club this year. We shall  have yet another  great year in the proud tradition of Somerset.    *  *  *   FROM SUBAHSHINI S. KUMAR  IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT  I thank the club for the privilege of serving as your President in the year just ended.  We had an outstanding year , for which the  the District Governor awarded us the District 308 A1 Top Club Award This was the second year in a row that we won this award, last year under Past President Christina Siow.. Congratulations to every one of you.  The club especially thanks Vivien Chan for her loyalty to Somerset and for hosting so many of our meetings. I thank members for their dedication and for the many kindnesses and courtesies shown to me during the year.   *  *  *
