Allied
RAF-style Air Recognition Roundels (Paint Mask)
Lets face it.
The task of applying decals or dry-transfers over the engine deck
grill areas can be rather daunting and challenging for many. What
better way to tackle this than to use masks? Plus, you also get
to choose your prefered shade of red, blue and yellow for the roundels!
Although a M4A2 deck is featured on the instructions, we're sure
there can be no limits to your imagination. The dimension of the
engine deck roundels were obtained from the stated references where
there were photographs that actually shows the size of each ring.
Each set comes
with 2 large engine deck roundels plus 3 smaller ones for the turret
top. It also comes with a duplicate just in case the first piece
is messed up! Although the instructions only feature one suggested
method of application, it is up to the individual (more experienced
ones) to choose his/her own prefered method.
About the material:
the low-tack mask material is almost transparent so you can see
better of the surface area where each mask goes over. Due to the
transparency of the material, the masks can be rather hard to see
on the backing sheet. Therefore the edges of each mask is colored
so you find each mask easily.
